Seafaring Merchant
This is a single-player board game. The player will play the role of a businessman, earning the price difference by trading between islands. The player needs to complete the specified amount of goals within a limited round and reach the destination. In the process, players need to ensure that food, crews and money are sufficient, and they have enough ability to reach their destination
Design Rationale
I hope that through this game the players will experience a sense of accomplishment, by carefully thinking about what way to use in order to create the most profit, as the game progresses, the players will find their money area from a small amount of money to have more and more money, and then feel a sense of fulfillment.
Design Diary
Because the goods are sold in a fixed location, there is bound to be a fixed moving track that is the most efficient way to earn money, so all players tend to make the same choice, resulting in low replayability of the game because players already have experience in the game and they know what strategy is the most effective.
I didn't use anything to replace the money at first, but players get more money at the same time on behalf of the number of cubes will also increase, when it allows players to visually see the amount of money they have can increase the sense of achievement of players in the game process, so I also think it is a good way to use cubes to represent money.
